STUTTGART, Germany (AP) — Stuttgart says Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak willbe out for about four weeks with a serious ankle injury. The Bundesliga side said on its website Friday that Pogrebnyak was injuredwhen challenging teammate Georg Niedermeier for the ball in training onThursday. The 27-year-old Pogrebnyak suffered two torn ligaments in his right ankle. Schalke set to sign goalkeeper Hildebrand

GELSENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) — Schalke is set to sign former Germany goalkeeperTimo Hildebrand, with its No.1 Ralf Faehrmann facing a lenghty injury layoff. Schalke says Hildebrand is expected to sign a contract after completing amedical exam. Faehrmann tore ligaments in his left knee in last week’s 2-1 loss toKaiserslautern. His backup Lars Unnerstall played in the 5-0 Europa League win in Larnaka.Hildebrand was out of contract after a season with Sporting Lisbon.
